Continuing the Sea Treks blog tour of Oceania Cruises' newbuilding MV MARINA at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente shipyard, we join Peter Knego on Deck as Tim Rubacky describes the Terrace Cafe, then cross via the pool area into the Culinary Center, Oceania and Vista Suites. From there, it is down to Jacques (Jacques Pepin's new specialty restaurant) for some hors d'oeuvres with Oceania president Bob Binder, star designer Dakota Jackson and the ship's principal architect, Gunnar Aaserud. Back ashore, Oceania CEO Frank Del Rio has a few welcoming words and there is a moment to celebrate after La Madrina, Silvia Ferando, breaks a ceremonial bottle of proseco on the ship's superstructure.
